The film has found a place in the contention list of the Oscars in three categories – Best Film, Best Original Score and Best Song. The film is based on Vātsyāyana’s Kama Sutra, an ancient Indian Hindu text in Sanskrit literature widely considered to be the noted work on human sexual behavior. The movie is set in the backdrop of the real historical milieu, Kamasutra 3D is the journey of a soulful love embodied with betrayal and war. It weaves the transformative changes in body, mind and soul by the forbidden world of sexual love and sensuality. It is produced under the houser of RPPL and is directed by Rupesh Paul. The story has been penned by the director himself.
The film stars Bollywood star Sherlyn Chopra, Milind Gunaji and King Mal Khan in the lead roles.
